Living With Cancer

Our Living With Cancer program provides care that is medically focused on relief of pain, symptoms, and stress of a serious illness. Our goal is to supplement the care provided by the patient’s physician and primary treatment team. We want to help people live comfortably and to provide the best possible quality of life for patients and their families. Oncology clinicians are chemo-certified and experts in the field.

For each patient referred to the VNA of South Central CT, we can provide:

  • Relief of symptoms including pain, shortness of breath, fatigue, constipation, nausea, loss of appetite, numbness and problems with sleep
  • Communication with patient about diagnosed illness and treatment choices
  • Coordinated care among health care providers
  • Coordination of home care services
